Reuniting with Former K-Colorado Staff

Yesterday we kicked off K- Colorado's first annual Alumni Weekend with the Iron Horse Bike Ride from Durango to Silverton.  50 miles over 2 big mountain passes.  About 10 of us did the ride and had a blast! 

We followed that with a great evening concert with donnie mortimer.  The man can write a ballad.  And he sure can play that gee-tar.  Anyway, today is Sunday and we are taking it easy.  Sleeping in.  EAting some coffee cake.  Having church.  Playing softball. 

We sure are blessed to taste this fellowship with one another.  Life together is never promised for the fellow believer.  It's great to have a weekend with some of our former staff to shoot the breeze and reminisce.

The laughs are a plenty here this weekend.

A Family Reunites

I came back from a meeting last night to find 15-20 friends from Kanakuk Colorado all reunited for a big wedding this weekend in Denver.  We all just plopped down all over the house on couches upstairs and downstairs, in hallways, in stairwells, and just played "catch up".  Some of us were in deep conversations, others were just reminiscing, some just quoting lines from the latest "office" episode. 

It's going to be a great weekend to reunite with the Kanakuk Colorado family.  Anytime we get to hang out with each other outside of our summer employment in Durango is always a rich time of laughter and encouragement.

Stay on the look out for a posting about Rob Bell's new book, Jesus Wants To Save Christians .  I'm writing a review and should have it up in a few days.
